Breast hamartoma

Benign proliferation of fibrous, glandular, and fatty tissue (disorganized but mature).

• Mammography:
  • "Breast within a breast" sign: Radiolucent fat mixed with radiodense glandular tissue surrounded by a pseudocapsule.
  • "Salami slice" appearance.
• US: Heterogeneous compressible mass.
• Management: BIRADS 2 (Benign). No biopsy needed if classic appearance.
