Lodwick classification (original)
Grading growth/aggressiveness of lytic lesions on radiograph according to border pattern.
- I - geographic border
- IA - geographic, well-defined, with sclerotic rim
- IB - geographic, well-defined, no sclerotic rim
- IC - geographic, ill-defined margin (transition zone)
- II - moth-eaten pattern
- III - permeative pattern
It is superseded by Modified Lodwick-Madewell Classification in 2016, which added two new concepts, temporal changes (3A) and radiographic occult (3C).
