Glomus tympanicum

Paragangliomas of the head and neck at middle ear cavity, seen as small enhancing mass on cochlear promontory; jugular foramen intact.

Differential diagnosis

• Aberrant ICA/ high-riding jugular bulb: follow vascular anatomy and enhance like vessels.
• Cholesteatoma: non-enhancing (or restricted diffusion), erosive but not hypervascular.
